Whole-Slide Intake
We start from the full slide, not a cropped field so nothing that matters gets left out of frame.
RETINUM is an AI assistant for cervical cytology trained to read Pap smear slides alongside pathologists, not instead of them.
Every Pap smear takes a trained eye, real time, and total focus. Pathologists are reading a growing number of slides against a limited amount of both. RETINUM exists to give some of that time back without asking anyone to trust a black box with a diagnosis.
We start from the full slide, not a cropped field so nothing that matters gets left out of frame.
Cells are grouped by morphology and mapped toward the categories pathologists already use the Bethesda system, not a new language to learn.
The findings most likely to matter get surfaced first so review time goes where it counts.
Flagged regions and cells come back to the pathologist for review RETINUM surfaces the evidence, the pathologist still makes the call.
Detection, classification, and visual review are being built as connected modules, one at a time built alongside practicing pathologists, not presented as a finished clinical system.

Cytology is where we started. It isn't where we stop. Cervical screening is our first, deepest focus the problem is real and the need is immediate. It's also the first stop on a longer roadmap across medical imaging. The rest is still taking shape.
We're not hiring off a template we're looking for people who want to build something real, early, in medical AI. If that's you, reach out even if you don't see a listed role.
